Community action. Circular economy. Collaboration

Big change starts with Lil things

Lil works with citizens and communities to use less and share more.

We want to live in a place where nothing is wasted, including opportunities; where we all live as part of thriving communities in a thriving environment.

We test ideas that work in real life

Lil is a female-founded social enterprise rooted in East Lothian. We bring together community action, circular economy thinking, and collaboration to make positive-impact living easier, more practical, and more fun!

From sharing clothes and community resources to helping shape local climate action, we test ideas that work in real life – then build the partnerships and momentum needed for wider systems change.

Right now, too many useful resources are wasted through a lack of use or being thrown away, impacting nature and the very systems that support us, while too many people are cut off from affordable low-impact options.

How we create change

Community action

We create welcoming, hands-on opportunities for people to get involved, help each other, and be part of positive change in their everyday lives.

Circular economy

We help good things stay in use and in our communities for longer – whether that’s clothing, materials, knowledge, or community assets.

Systems change

We don’t just run projects. We use what we learn to help shape better local systems, stronger partnerships, and more ambitious approaches to climate and community resilience.
